DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG & CAPE TOWN (N1):

  • Take the EEUFEES ROAD (R700) turnoff.
  • From Cape Town (traveling in a southerly direction), turn right at the top of the off ramp.
  • From Johannesburg (traveling in a northerly direction), turn left at the off ramp.
  • Continue driving straight down EEUFEES ROAD for about 6 km until you reach a circle.
  • At this circle EEUFEES ROAD crosses with WILCOCKS ROAD.  Continue driving straight through the traffic circle over WILCOCKS, with Bays Village on your right hand side
  • After the circle EEUFEES ROAD becomes MILNER ROAD
  • Continue driving straight down MILNER ROAD
  • On your way driving down MILNER ROAD you will pass the first set of traffic lights where the road crosses with Waverley Road
  • The second set of traffic lights is where Whites road enters MILNER ROAD
  • Then at the third set of traffic lights you turn right into HARRY SMITH STREET (stay on your right hand side, the road makes an upward slope and on the bend before the first traffic light you’ll see the gates of Oliewenhuis on your right)

DIRECTIONS FROM BLOEMFONTEIN AIRPORT:

 

  • As you exit the airport you turn right onto the N8 – towards town
  • Continue driving straight down the N8 you will pass a set of traffic lights where McGREGOR ROAD crosses with the N8
  • Continue driving straight down the N8 as it makes a curve you will pass underneath a bridge and just after the bridge you will get to a traffic light where NATHAN ROAD makes a t-junction with the N8
  • Still continue driving straight down the N8 – stay on the right hand side of the road and you will pass underneath another bridge
  • After the bridge you will get to a traffic light where NELSON MANDELLA ROAD makes a t-junction with the N8
  • Go straight over this traffic light where the N8 becomes ALEXANDRA ROAD
  • You will pass another traffic light after which you will get to a second traffic light where EAST BURGER & ANDRIES PRETORIUS ROAD crosses with ALEXANDRA ROAD
  • Continue driving straight down ALEXANDRA ROAD the road will make a curve and after the curve you will get to yet another traffic light where WEST BURGER STREET crosses with ALEXANDRA ROAD.
  • Still continue carrying straight on ALEXANDRA ROAD until you reach the next traffic light where ALIWAL STREET cross with ALEXANDRA ROAD.
  • At the traffic light turn right into ALIWAL STREET and now continue driving straight
  • At the first traffic light turn left into HARRY SMITH STREET (stay on your right hand side, the road makes an upward slope and on the bend before the first traffic light you’ll see the gates of Oliewenhuis on your right)

Once you entered the grounds just follow the path upwards where you would find ample of parking.  You can go through the art museum and there in the backyard you’ll find The Terrace Coffee Shop & Restaurant as well as the Reservoir.
